Kara Dere is the last nice, and actually wild, beach on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. Kilometres away from the hotels, the concrete resorts and the shortsighted lust for fast profits. In the years when all the rest of the beaches to the south were either overbuilt or surrounded by hotels, Kara Dere remained an oasis of an alternative way of communication with people and with the sea. Everyone who has been to Kara Dere has his or her own story about the place.

The beach is wide and the water is clear and incredibly blue. Vacationers here should be careful, as the sea is quite deep. There is a water slide on the beach. Byala (Bulgarian: Бяла [ˈbʲałɐ] lit. ‘white’, Greek: Άσπρος, Aspros) is a small town and seaside resort in Eastern Bulgaria, located on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast in Varna Province. It is the administrative centre of the homonymous Byala Municipality and lies in a semi-mountainous region in the easternmost branches of Stara Planina about 50 km south of the city of Varna and 70 km north of Burgas. As of December 2009, the town has a population of 2,171 inhabitants.^[1]
